Sensor-integrated insoles for the prevention of adult-onset diabetes
About
GLUCOSole develops age-appropriate, sensor-equipped insoles to detect and specifically influence the effects of adult-onset diabetes. The intelligent insoles record movement and pressure data as well as blood glucose information and enable AI-supported health monitoring. The aim is to enable older people to lead an active, independent life and at the same time improve medical care - close to everyday life, technologically sound and interdisciplinary.
Opportunity
Diabetic foot problems are among the most common complications of adult-onset diabetes, with serious consequences such as pain, loss of mobility and amputations. At the same time, there is a lack of practical systems for early detection and targeted intervention in everyday care. GLUCOSole addresses this care gap with an intelligent, portable solution that combines medical prevention and suitability for everyday use.
Solution/Product description
GLUCOSole combines modern sensor technology, additive manufacturing and AI-based data analysis in a smart insole. The system continuously records relevant health parameters and provides feedback to relieve pressure on at-risk areas of the foot. Users benefit from personalized recommendations for movement and care. The aim is effective early detection and therapy support for age-related diabetes.
